I got to the beach to find Chris changing down from his big kite to a smaller one. The wind was eading around 22 knots so i rigged my 5m and wave board. Walking down to the waters edge and it didn't feel enough though. Sure enough, although able to get on the plane I ended up with a walk of shame to get back to where I started from, so gave up with that and rigged my 5.7m instead.

back on the water and the wind was all ovr the place. Sometimes WSW sometimes WNW, sometimes plenty of it, somtimes not enough. On occasion I as able to head out through the waves on both tacks as the wind shifted around just at the right time, on others I had to head back to the beach on both tacks.

After about half an hour of this, the wind settled down to dead Westerly and also settled down to a nice 18-20 knots. Now nicely powered up I worked my way out the back and then headed off to Borth. I made a few runs right into Borth and then up to the Dovey bar. Theres something cool about flying along flat out for three miles or so, only to turn around and fly back flat out in the other direction. There were some nice swells out the back to pay on too. It stayed good and I spent the next couple of hours fully powered up blasting back and forth to Borth, until I had no energy left!
